Mr. Azmi Ahmad, Secretary of MPK, together with the department heads and staff of MPK, visited the PJ Eco Recycling Plaza under the supervision of MBPJ on Thursday, July 11, 2024.
PJ Eco Recycling Plaza, also known as the PJ Recycling Collection Center, is an initiative by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) to collect and process recyclable materials.
Here are some of the main functions of PJ Eco Recycling Plaza:
- Recycling goods collection center:
- The public can drop off recyclable items such as boxes, plastics, bottles, cans, and electronic goods at this plaza.
- Upcycling workshop:
- The plaza offers an upcycling workshop that educates the public on how to transform old items into new and useful products.
- 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) exhibition corner:
- This exhibition corner provides information on the importance of recycling and ways to reduce waste.
- Children's activity space:
- This area is designed to educate children about environmental conservation and recycling practices.
