VISION OF THE TOWN PLANNING DEPARTMENT

To formulate and coordinate planning and development activities in the Kluang Municipal Council area towards 'Prosperous and Sustainable' by emphasizing the balance of physical, social, economic and environmental aspects as well as implementing the development of a cheerful, beneficial landscape and distinctive design.

OBJECTIVES OF PLANNING CONTROL DIVISION & DEVELOPMENT PLANNING AND GIS DIVISION, TOWN PLANNING DEPARTMENT

  • To ensure that the goals, objectives and strategies in the National Physical Plan (RFN), State Structure Plan (RSN), Kluang District Local Plan (RTD), Special Area Plan (RKK) and Landscape Master Plan (PIL) are used as the basis and guidelines in the work- planning work.
  • To control and plan development in the Kluang Municipal Council area to be planned and systematic in accordance with the Development Plans and in accordance with the Policies / Circulars of the State Government as well as the Guidelines and Planning Standards used throughout the State of Johor.
  • Implement and adopt the Town and Country Planning Act, 1976 (Act 172) and the Johor State Planning Control (AM) Rules 2008.
  • Provide efficient and professional planning advisory services and ensure that planning applications and comments are processed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide complete planning data / information system for use / reference of various departments and the public.
  • Provide immediate feedback and action on public complaints received related to the field of Town Planning.
  • To ensure that open space or leisure areas are provided in accordance with the needs of the Kluang Municipal Council community in accordance with the park hierarchy that has been set and gazette the open space under section 62, National Land Code.
  • Implement the Safe City Program measures as directed by the NKRA & KPKT as well as report monthly crime statistics for the Kluang district in the MPK Committee Meeting.
  • Implementing the Murni.Net Program - Urban Sustainability Study directed by KPKT through JPBD Peninsular Malaysia.
